Understanding Twitter’s Timeline
Twitter’s Timeline is where you view the tweets of those friends, family, celebrities or brands you have followed on Twitter. Whenever they share a tweet it will show up on your Timeline.

From your homepage, your timeline is in the middle. It displays a stream of tweets from the accounts that you follow. New users might see suggested accounts to follow.
The timeline may also display “Promoted Tweets”, which are tweets that users have paid for, or Retweets.
Newest Tweets always display at the top of the timeline, as well as “New Tweets” since your last refresh.
From your Timeline, you can also compose a new Tweet.
